Curriculum Leader of Computing

Job Introduction

Required for September 2026

True flexible working: 4 days’ teaching 5 days’ pay

Court Moor School is leading the way in modern employment practices and offers all full-time teachers a timetable of 20 lessons a week and a whole day off each week.

Court Moor School is a high-achieving 11-16 comprehensive school in Fleet with a fantastic reputation and sky-high ambition. We are privileged to work with bright students and talented staff. We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to work in our Computing Department.

Our over-subscribed school has the privilege of teaching students who are the highest attaining at KS2 in Hampshire with a high APS on entry - our challenge is to maintain and accelerate their progress.

Many of our students are enthused about computing which has been a popular subject at GCSE, having delivered Hampshire’s second strongest set of results in 2023. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Computing who can continue to develop the department.  Leadership opportunities can be discussed at interview.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  •  A friendly and supportive department, staff, SLT and governing body.
  • Pro-active staff development to guide your career and manage your skills portfolio; preparing you for internal and external promotion.
  • A school where student conduct is strong; a place you can focus on teaching rather than managing behaviour.
  • A school that relies on professional trust; we employ good people and leave them to get on with it.
  • A school committed to reducing workload through a lighter teaching load and option to work at home a day a week.

Should you wish to visit the school or talk to key staff prior to application then we would welcome the opportunity to meet you and show you around our school. If you would like to arrange an informal chat with Julia Vale, then please call 01252 615 065 or email julia.vale@court-moor.hants.sch.uk

Please visit our website www.court-moor.hants.sch.uk/100/staff-vacancies for an application pack including role profile, person specification and more information about our school.

*Should the school receive strong applications before the closing date they reserve the right to interview earlier than this date. If you are interested, then please contact us sooner rather than later.
