Job Introduction

Merton Junior School is seeking an inspirational and supportive Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our dedicated team. If you are driven and committed to helping children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will be a vital part of our school community. We are looking for someone who can be flexible in their day-to-day timetable to adapt to the needs of the children you support. Your expertise will help foster a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive emotionally and socially.

We are looking for someone with experience working with children, parents, and other agencies. Your strong communication skills will allow you to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring that every child receives the support they need.

An approachable personality and a good sense of humour are essential qualities you must possess. You will work closely with all members of staff across the school, and your ability to build strong relationships will be key to your success in this role.

Salary: Grade D1 £26,918 -  D5 £29,616 per annum (FTE: £21,349 -£23,489 per annum)  
Contract: Part-time (8.15 am to 3.45 pm daily)
