An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in September 2026. We are seeking an outstanding and nurturing teacher to teach within our EYFS and KS1 teaching team.

Hale is a small village primary school with a current capacity of 70 pupils in the heart of the New Forest. The school is part of the successful Forest Edge Learning Federation comprising Breamore CE Primary School, Hyde CE Primary School, and Hale Primary School. The three individual schools work closely together, sharing leadership, curriculum, and teaching skills. 

Hale Primary School is a successful (‘Good’ OFSTED, January 2024) and popular school. It is very much part of the village community and receives fantastic support from parents and governors. We are fully inclusive and nurturing in our approach and strive for excellence for all, through the highest standards of teaching and learning. We are dedicated to preparing our pupils for life-long learning through our academic curriculum and personal development offer, judged as outstanding by OFSTED in January 2024.

      We are looking for a teacher who: 

  • Is approachable and personable and works well as part of a team.

  • Has the knowledge and skills to meet the needs of individuals and facilitate learning in both EYFS and KS1.

  • Has a talent for making learning exciting and engaging and can inspire and motivate pupils to learn

  • Has high expectations about what children can achieve and has the subject knowledge to enable children to be successful.

  • Can employ a range of assessment for learning strategies to inform and adapt teaching.

  • Understands how to make sure that every child, every day, has learning experiences that are carefully matched to their needs, interests and stage of development

  • Has experience in teaching a systematic synthetic phonics scheme.

  • Has the capacity to lead other staff in aspects of our curriculum provision.

  • Will share our school vision and demonstrate commitment to continued school improvement.

  • Will work closely with colleagues, governors, parents, and the wider school community.
