Job/Person Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a practitioner at our Nursery setting for children aged 2 – 5 years. There will be opportunities to work within the whole setting, with small groups and on a 1:1 basis with individual pupils.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Nursery and Early Years Leader and EYFS team to deliver an engaging and enabling learning environment and a safe place for our children to grow. We pride ourselves in building strong and positive relationships with our children and families.
We are looking for a Level 3 qualified practitioner in Childcare, who has relevant experience.
We are looking for practitioners who are:

- A team player, able to create a purposeful learning environment
- Approachable, flexible and ready to take on challenges
- Able to understand confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- Desire to engage with training and relevant professional development.
- Able to build relationships with all children
- Desirable qualifications include – Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications.
- Have a sound awareness of the EYFS framework, including Birth to 5 and Development Matters.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Level 3 qualified in Early Years
- English GCSE pass qualification or equivalent
- Ability to develop effective relationships with children and their parents/carers and other professionals.
- Capacity to deal with challenging situations and work under pressure.
- Able to make independent judgements and exercise initiative within agreed limits.
- Knowledge and awareness of factors which may impact a child’s ability to access education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to maintain accurate records and present information clearly and concisely using IT software.
