We are looking for an experienced Primary Trained English Specialist teacher to join our team delivering the English curriculum to KS3 and KS4 pupils up to GCSE level.
Oak Lodge School is based on the edge of the New Forest catering for 11-16 year olds with a range of Special Educational Needs. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, enjoyable and caring learning environment for students to acquire skills for life and prepare them well for adulthood.
English at Oak Lodge School is designed to develop essential literacy, communication, and language skills in a way that is accessible, engaging, and tailored to the individual needs of our pupils. Our curriculum supports students in building confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
We aim to foster a love for language while equipping pupils with the skills they need for both academic progress and everyday life. Whether through exploring stories, developing functional writing skills, or engaging in discussions, our English lessons provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
You will be working as part of the enthusiastic and passionate English Team delivering an imaginative and engaging curriculum to small classes of well-mannered and rewarding students.
Experience working with SEN pupils would be an advantage.
