Job Introduction
Crofton Anne Dale Federation are seeking to appoint an Extended Day Leader to manage our successful wraparound care provision across Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Since our breakfast and afterschool club Birds and Owls, opened in January 2019, we have continued to expand the provision to accommodate its popularity, becoming an essential part of our school community.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Extended Day Leader to join our Federation. The role will be working within a dedicated, friendly team with the flexibility to work across all year groups. Core responsibilities include:
- Managing the Birds and Owls team including schedule management and staff appraisals
- Communication with parents and other stakeholders in person, on the phone and through digital technologies
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and manage any waiting lists fairly and appropriately
- Manage income and expenditure with support from the School Business Manager, adhering to financial compliance and reporting periods
- Manage stock control and health and safety local management in the school, including children with medical requirements
- Promote and develop the service to a high professional standard, co-ordinating a balanced and stimulating range of activities in a safe and nurturing environment
- Manage the food and place orders for equipment where required
- Co-ordinate the school holiday club provision, working with external providers and creating an internal provision, including staff management
The suitable candidate will be passionate about working with children and demonstrates the following behaviours:
- Great enthusiasm for working with children and developing the provision
- Excellent communication skills with evidence of high levels of professionalism and customer service skills
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft systems, including Word and Excel
- Ability to manage a team with a commitment to professional development
- High professional standards
- Enthusiasm to develop an engaging provision for the children
