Salary Details: Grade D: £27,780 – £30,564 FTE - £14.40-£15.84 per hour
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, worked as per requirement,
Flexible 8am-3.30pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch break)

Job/Person Summary
We are are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working, practical and flexible site manager to join our team.
The Federation of Burley and Sopley consists of a two small schools, located in Ripley and Burley. We are looking for a site manager to work across both of our schools.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:-
A flexible, practical and efficient approach
An ability to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and responding to the needs of the children and the whole school team
Have good basic DIY skills
Have a car and a valid driving license (able to travel between sites when needed)
Competent in IT, being able to report statutory checks online and report concerns
A commitment to safeguarding in schools
A basic level of Literacy Skills, in order to write reports and complete risk assessments.
Pride in their job.
Polite, respectful and a good role model for pupils.
Main responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of the school
Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration
Obtain quotes for repair work and planned works within the Federation
Being responsible for site security, when contractors are working on site.
Overseeing the work of external contractors, ensuring the highest levels of health and safety are maintained at all times
Carrying out some grounds maintenance work, ensuring the school is tidy and in good repair.
Line manage our cleaning staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school
Ensure health and safety is a priority at all times, carrying out assessments (including risk assessments), checks and reports as required, reporting to Governing Body as necessary
Engage in training to ensure that a good understanding of COSH, Fire safety, working at heights etc is implemented.
