35 hours a week, term time only + three weeks, permanent. 

FTE Salary £32,061 - £36,363

Actual Salary £28,344 - £32,148 + SEN Allowance

 

Dove House is seeking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic, confident and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic support team on a permanent basis with responsibility for Exams, qualifications and curriculum support.

Dove House is a popular, successful and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with moderate/severe learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. We are proud to be an ‘Outstanding’ school but retain our passion to keep moving forward.

In this key position, you will:

  • · Lead on the organisation and administration of all external and internal examinations, assessments and accreditation processes.
  • · Plan, deliver and evaluate 1:1 and small-group academic interventions.
  • · Coordinate and update half-termly Learning Maps
  • · Coordinate My Time (choice-based Friday afternoons)

 

You must be able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, tact and resilience when dealing with challenging circumstances, as well as being able to use your initiative and manage your own time well.

 

Experience of working with exam boards/accreditation systems would be advantageous.

 

Training will be given to the successful candidate.

The hours for this role are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8.30am – 4pm, Wednesday 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm. You will work for 39 weeks of the year; however, you will be paid for 48.6 weeks. Your salary will be paid over 12 months of the year.
