The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our supportive and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils.
The role will involve:
- Covering teacher absences across Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6)
- Providing PPA cover (Planning, Preparation and Assessment time) for class teachers
- Delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities in line with teachers' planning
- Supporting pupils' learning and development across the curriculum
- Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trained HLTA (or equivalent qualification, eg NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants) and has a secure subject knowledge of primary education
- Has experience working with children in Key Stage 2
- Can deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate pupils
- Has excellent classroom management skills
- Is committed to our school values of Compassion, Adaptability, Creativity, Integrity and Aspiration
- Works well as part of a team and can also work independently
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is flexible, resilient and enthusiastic about education
- Shares our high expectations for all pupils
