HLTA - To include 3 x lunch time duties

Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic, skilled and creative Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) to work at our friendly, caring and successful school. A requirement is for the candidate to have completed the HTLA training. 

This role will also require a 30 minute cover for lunch 3 times a week.


The HLTA will:

  • Cover and lead PPA cover classes across the school
  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they:

  • Committed to supporting individual children's social, moral, emotional and academic well-being 
  • Are patient, cheerful and understanding 
  • Can work under direction of the class teacher and under their own initiative. 
  • Have energy, enthusiasm and the ability to be flexible
  • Are able to play effectively and form strong relationships with children 
  • Have a firm belief in inclusion and have an intuitive response to our children’s needs
  • Are patient, empathetic and consistent
  • Passionate about providing rich educational experiences 
  •
