Steep Church of England Primary School is looking for a caring, self-motivated, Forest School trained Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
We are a small, nurturing village school with a big heart and a strong community spirit. Tucked away in a beautiful rural village near Petersfield, our school family enjoys close ties to our local environment and a deep love of outdoor learning. Grounded in our supportive Christian ethos, we seek an outdoor educator who can foster resilience and curiosity both in the classroom and out in our woodlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Forest School: Plan and deliver safe, nurturing, and high-quality outdoor learning sessions across EYFS to KS2
- Classroom Cover & HLTA Support: Confidently provide high-level teaching cover across different year groups, maintaining a positive environment for learning.
- Interventions & Support: Deliver targeted small-group interventions to support children's academic, social, and emotional development.
What You Will Bring
- Hold HLTA status .
- Hold a Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Leadership.
- Strong behaviour management skills rooted in empathy and understanding.
- A current Outdoor or Paediatric First Aid certificate
