The Governors of Durley CE (Controlled) Primary School are seeking a skilled, committed and flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team for three days per week. This is a unique and flexible role that will incorporate work as a TA, HLTA and will also include lunch duty. You will need to be willing to work across both Key stages 1 and 2. This role will initially be fixed term with a view to extending.
We are a small, supportive school community, and we are looking for someone who can contribute positively to both classroom learning and the wider life of the school.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who can:
- Effectively support teaching and learning across the school.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a professional approach.
- Confident to communicate with parents, staff and outside agencies
- Lead small groups and deliver planned lessons when required
- Work alongside teachers to support our pupils
- Work confidently across the primary phase
- Contribute to a calm, purposeful learning environment
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience as a teaching assistant across both Key Stage 1 and 2
- Hold HLTA status (or have equivalent experience)
- Have Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
- Be organised, adaptable, and confident in leading learning
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families
- Be committed to the school’s values and to the wellbeing of children
