Being an Improvement Advisor in our team is a vital role in supporting schools to be their best and have ongoing school improvement, for the benefit of their communities.
The Role:
You will have a clear vision for education that you can articulate with confidence. You will have a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities and features of effective teaching and learning, in this area. With a successful track record of senior leadership within education, likely to have included headship experience or similar, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to meet challenges with optimism.
You will understand what develops the capacity of school leaders to embed ambition and drive improvement in their schools. What you’ll do:
As a Leadership and Learning Partner (LLP) for a group of special schools in Hampshire you will enhance their journey to excellence and promote effective partnership working. In this role you will join a strong county wide team in Education and Inclusion, who offer professional support, challenge and intellectual stimulus to a diverse community of educators, particularly school headteachers, who have high expectations of our service.
The role includes supporting the development of education professionals in the field of SEND, whilst also fulfilling a quality assurance function.
What we’re looking for:
The postholder will require a strong background in SEND, pedagogical understanding and successful leadership experience in a school setting. A demonstrable commitment to professional learning, research-based practice and keeping abreast of new initiatives will be important, as will the ability to influence others positively in their thinking and behaviours.
