KS1 Class Teacher from September 2025

Job Introduction

We are looking for a creative, inspiring teacher to work in our forward-thinking and inclusive primary school for a Key Stage 1 class for September 2025. The salary offered will depend on the experience of the successful candidate.


Job specification

The successful candidate will: 

  • Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes and experience of setting high standards for all pupils
  • Demonstrate good or better subject knowledge across the curriculum and will be required to lead a subject area 
  • Demonstrate ability to plan well-structured lessons and sequences of lessons
  • Plan to meet the strengths and areas for development of all children, including those with behaviour concerns and SEND
  • Use in-lesson Assessment for Learning and daily, weekly and termly tracking of pupils in order to secure good or better progress for all pupils
  • Manage support adults in the setting to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Work alongside external agencies to meet the needs of all children
  • Demonstrate commitment to developing self and the practice of others
  • Fulfil all professional responsibilities in accordance with the Teachers’ Standards

 

Person Specification

In addition we are looking for someone who:

  • encourages pupils to show initiative, take risks with their learning and challenge themselves
  • is prepared to become fully involved in the life of our school and community
  • Is creative
  • is prepared to offer activities outside of the classroom to enhance the learning and school experiences of our children
  • demonstrates resilience and reflection with the aim of enhancing their own teaching capabilities so that our pupils receive the best possible education
  • is flexible and can respond to the changing needs of the school and its pupils on a daily basis
