A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join our hard working and friendly team. We have 12 single-age group classes with no more than 25 children in a class. Our school is filled with like-minded people who want to make a difference to the children in our school. This role will involve in-class support, possible 1:1 support for individual children and running interventions.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Has knowledge of the key aspects of the role of an LSA
- Has secure knowledge of basic literacy and mathematics
- Can enthuse and inspire children to learn
- Has high expectations and a positive attitude
- Has excellent communication skills and can relate well to others
- Ideally has experience of working with children, though this is not essential for right candidate
- Has a positive approach to behaviour management
- Is willing to try new ideas
- Is enthusiastic, resilient and has a good sense of humour
- Has good organisational skills.
