Anton Junior School is set in extensive grounds and located in the picturesque Test Valley. We are a warm and friendly school where children are at the heart of all we do. We are very proud of our learning facilities and strive to promote safe and happy learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and caring LSA to join the team at Anton Junior School. This vacancy is a term-time only full-time role and will predominantly involve working on a one-to-one basis with a child that has ASD and SEMH needs. The role will also include general class duties and lunchtime supervision. The successful candidate will work flexibly and creatively with the class teacher to ensure pupils develop emotionally and socially, while effectively accessing curriculum.
The post requires the successful applicant to also work with other support staff, our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, outside agencies, parents and carers to promote learning. Applicants should therefore have excellent written and oral communication skills, and have a proven record of working effectively as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be offered the appropriate induction, support and training for the role.
