We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide support for pupils across our school. The role will be centred around support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and we are looking for a candidate who can support them predominantly within a classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by supporting their learning and development in a friendly, nurturing and forward-thinking school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs.
- Support pupils who may find it challenging to engage in activities alongside their peers.
- Work independently under the guidance and direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing to teaching staff and SENCO.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as an LSA or in a similar role supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to adapt learning activities to engage pupils.
- Confidence in working independently while collaborating effectively with teaching staff.
Desirable Qualities:
- A warm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a school community that values every child’s potential.
Salary:
- Grade B - higher grades will be considered for experienced candidates
