We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our hard working support team. The role would be Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.20pm (15 minute morning break and 1 hour for lunch) which totals 27 hours and 5 minutes per week, term-time only - perfect for those with school aged children!
We are looking for people with a caring/nurturing approach to child care. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
Applicants should have the ability to:
work closely in a team ethos to support and learn from colleagues
work with children either individually, in small groups or whole class situations to enable them to achieve their best
be committed to working as part of a team that has a ‘can do’ attitude;
have patience, and a kind, fair approach;
have Mathematics and English GCSE grade C or equivalent;
have a passion for children’s social progress and well-being in addition to their academic success;
be enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative;
be positive, calm and caring and able to sensitively support children;
understand confidentiality and safeguarding;
demonstrate good communication skills and be able to clarify and explain instructions clearly
