We are seeking a warm, motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality support to children with additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally. Strong English and Maths skills are essential, and previous experience in a school setting is desirable.
This role is offered on a fixed‑term contract until 31/08/2026, with the potential for extension.
We are ideally looking for someone who can work 28.33 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.25pm, term time only. However, we may consider fewer hours for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is warm, friendly and genuinely puts children at the centre of everything they do.
- Has experience of working with children in a professional capacity.
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
- Has knowledge and understanding of how to support children in their learning.
- Can use initiative, think creatively and adapt learning to meet individual needs.
- Holds high expectations for themselves and others.
- Is well‑organised, reliable and able to manage time effectively.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
- Holds a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A–C), including English and Maths.
