Job/Person Summary

 

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join us in September 2026 who can work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups for targeted support.  Ideally candidates will have experience of working in school or similar settings working with children. This post also involves a lunch time cover for a class.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Ideally, have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs in an education setting
  • Be able to form strong positive relationships with adults and children
  • Be patient, calm, resilient and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have good/strong behaviour management skills including use of PACE
  • Have a good understanding of neurodivergent learners
