Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resourceful and conscientious Learning Support Assistant who could make a positive impact on pupil progress. The successful applicant will support the whole class, small groups and work on a 1:1 basis with children.
Orchard Lea Junior school recently federated with Orchard Lea Infant school. As the federation develops, there will be many wonderful opportunities for anyone starting with us, to support both schools in achieving the federation vision. We are looking for someone who:
- Has GCSE grades at least C or equivalent in English and Maths;
- Has experience of working with children;
- Is able to motivate and engage children;
- Is able to use their initiative and be resourceful;
- Works well as a part of a team;
- Has patience and strong communication skills;
- Has a good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
Integral to the role is your ability and willingness to provide an hour lunchtime supervision by interacting with children and encouraging them to play.
