Balksbury Federation Learning Support Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to join our federated team. This is a position within our federation which will start within the infant school.
Our Learning Support Assistants are highly valued members of our federated community. Their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is constantly supported with bespoke training delivered by highly skilled members of the Balksbury team. Established in 2011, Balksbury Federation sits on the outskirts of Andover and is easily accessible for Basingstoke, Winchester and Salisbury.
Our schools are happy with highly motivated, well-behaved and inspiring children. Both schools share the same site and have extensive grounds that hold many opportunities to take learning outside the classroom.
You will be somebody who will support the federation in respecting and valuing each child, working in collaboration with our teachers to ensure children gain a wealth of educational experiences.
This position includes a lunchtime supervisory role.

- Interested in working with Early Years and Key Stage 1 children
- Naturally positive with a great sense of humour!
- Able to enthuse and inspire children
- Able to challenge, support and motivate all children to achieve high standards
- Able to think creatively and adapt learning for all needs
- Able to support the pastoral needs of children
- Have good time management skills
- Eager to take a full and active part in all aspects of our federated life
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1
