Learning Support Assistant (working 1 to 1 with children with SEND)
Required for a January 2025 start.
This role will involve supporting individual children (with EHCPs) in our Key Stage 2 (Year 5) class, and also supporting group work as a class LSA.
Permanent contract.
Mondays - Fridays (8.45am – 3.15pm) – 30 hours per week.
Grade C post.
Closing Date: Monday 2 December (noon)

We are looking for applicants who ideally have recent experience of working in schools or Early Years settings, and/or children with Special Educational Needs.
The successful applicant will be fully focused on and committed to the welfare, learning and growth of the children. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, will be approachable, calm and understanding and have high levels of integrity. They will also be well organised and systematic, yet adaptable and flexible.
This is an opportunity for applicants who are keen to develop their experience and skills in working with children with SEND in a school setting. Ongoing professional development will be provided within a supportive and nurturing team.
The main duties will include:
- Working as a member of the whole school team in promoting and modelling the Values, Vision and expectations of the school
- Working in partnership with the teacher to foster effective participation of pupils in all aspects of school life
- Working with individuals, groups and classes of pupils to assist them in their learning
- Working in partnership with teachers in implementing lessons, learning activities and interventions
- Providing feedback to both pupils and other staff
- Midday Supervisor role each lunchtime
Cornerstone Church of England Primary School relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built school on a 9-acre site in September 2021.
