Micheldever C of E Primary school is seeking a passionate and talented LSA to join our hard-working, welcoming and skilled team from 1st September 2026.
We are a small, rural village school who serves the needs of our diverse community through high-quality, inclusive teaching and by instilling our four key Christian values of Love, Trust, Hope and Forgiveness in all who attend. We have high expectations for all of our pupils, regardless of their background, and work incredibly hard to make sure that all children thrive.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed LSA who displays the following characteristics:
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and contributes to a strong safeguarding culture across the school
- An individual who sets high standards for the children that they work with
- A positive, patient and adaptable approach to working with children
- A willingness to work flexibly across different age groups (Year R to Year 6)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
- Builds excellent relationships with children
- Works collaboratively with other members of staff
- Promotes independence and encourages resilience
- Models excellent spoken and written English
- Treats every child with dignity and respect
Preferred working hours would be Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30 (term time only), however, we are willing to discuss reduced hours.
Desirable skills (but not essential):
- Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs
