Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive staff team in September 2025. We are a small, nurturing primary school committed to providing a warm and inclusive learning environment for all our pupils. In this varied role, you will be supporting children with their learning and development. You’ll play a key part in helping to create a positive, engaging classroom experience - working both with individual pupils and in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that all children can access and engage with learning
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with the children and their families
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt, deliver and evaluate effective support strategies
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of children's progress, and maintain accurate records
- Promote the school's Christian ethos and values through your interactions with the children

- Empathy and Patience: A nurturing approach, especially important in a small, inclusive school setting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with children and adults alike.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals.
- Initiative and Adaptability: Ability to work independently when needed and comfortable adjusting support strategies as the needs of the pupils evolve.
- Understanding of Child Development and Learning: Some knowledge of how children learn and develop, particularly at the primary level.
- Commitment to Inclusion and Equality: A strong belief in every child’s right to access quality education.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage time, resources, and tasks efficiently.
Salary: Grade B or C depending on experience.
