About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. This full-time role involves working closely with learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they are fully included and supported in their learning journey.
In addition to classroom support, you will take responsibility for lunchtime supervision and provide assistance with medical needs where required. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group support to SEN learners, adapting tasks and resources to meet their needs.
Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development.
Supervise and engage pupils during lunchtimes to ensure a safe, positive environment.
Assist with medical needs and first aid, following school policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and progress meetings.
Person Specification
Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
Knowledge of SEN strategies and a flexible, patient approach.
Confidence in managing lunchtime routines and supervising groups of pupils.
Willingness to provide medical support (training will be provided if necessary).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A caring, positive attitude with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
