Job Introduction
Chawton CE Primary School is a small rural school located in the beautiful village of Chawton, just outside Alton. We have a strong Christian ethos and special family atmosphere that infiltrates into all that we do in our school. We are looking to appoint an excellent, happy and highly motivated primary teaching assistant to join our incredible school. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, friendly, and innovative team that has children at its centre.
The successful candidate will:
- be an excellent practitioner preferably with current experience of working with the primary age group
- be highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic
- enjoy working as a part of a team and independently as well as showing initiative when needed
- be flexible, proactive and resourceful
- be highly organised and have good time management skills
- have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- demonstrate a great understanding of English and Mathematics skills (GCSE grade C/4 or above)
- demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
- understand confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- Have a good understanding of child development and some experience of supporting children’s learning
- be committed to raising standards and improving progress for all children
- be caring, patient and resilient
