Sports Coach

Are you passionate about sport and inspiring young people?

Do you want to make a real difference in a vibrant and supportive junior school community? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team and lead engaging, inclusive, and high-energy sporting activities for our Key Stage 2 pupils. Your Role Will Include:

  • Lunchtime Sport Activities: Organising and leading fun, structured games to keep children active and engaged during lunch breaks.
  • PE Lessons: Delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons in line with the National Curriculum across KS2, supporting children’s physical development and love for sport.
  • After-School Clubs: Running a variety of sports clubs that cater to all interests and abilities.
  • Sports Fixtures & Competitions: Preparing and accompanying school teams to local sporting events and competitions, helping children develop teamwork and sportsmanship.

About You: We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (ideally in a school or coaching setting)
  • Holds a relevant coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2 Coaching Certificate or similar)
  • Is energetic, positive, and a great role model
  • Can confidently plan and deliver inclusive and engaging PE lessons
  • Is organised, reliable and able to manage multiple activities
  • Has a valid driving licence (to drive yourself to fixtures)

This is a term time only position - Monday - Friday 12 - 5pm (25 hours per week)

We are advertising this as a fixed term position until the end of July 2026, however this could become a permanent position for the right candidate.
