Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint one or more learning support assistants who have experience of supporting children with SEND in order to build capacity within our large and friendly team from Sept 2025. The role will mainly involve working as a key adult to support children with Education Health Care Plans, but may also include some general classroom support for small groups under the direct of the class teacher. Applications are welcome from those with experience of supporting children in Early Years/KS1 or KS2 as there is some flexibility regarding placement across the school.
Ideally, the successful candidate(s) will be available to work Mon-Fri in term time, although we are open to applications from those with the relevant skills and experience who would like to be considered for a job share position. These positions are fixed term for the year but could lead to further opportunities in the future.
The successful candidates will
- Have some experience of supporting children in a school or pre-school setting, including experience of supporting children with SEND.
- Be cheerful, flexible and approachable;
- Have energy and enthusiasm, and be able to show initiative within the role;
- Be team players, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils;
- Be patient and have good communication skills.
