Job Introduction
Lymington Junior School is a thriving, happy school set in the coastal market town of Lymington, bordering the New Forest National Park.
We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team, with additional duties within our wraparound care provision. We are looking for an individual who can provide support to our wonderful children who are enthusiastic and joyful, both in their day-to-day conduct and attitude to learning.
You need not to have worked in a school environment previously, but have the ambition to support the children in our school. We will provide continuous support and training. Some flexibility may be considered around the working hours of the day. We offer free wraparound provision in our breakfast and afterschool clubs, for children of parents who work at our lovely school.
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic and proactive with a “can do attitude”
- Be a good team player, with a good sense of humour
- Have a positive and kind approach
- Help the children develop and motivate them to learn
- Is able to maintain confidentiality at all times and be aware of safeguarding procedures
- Supervise and assist the children with the selection of refreshments
- Register the children and ensure accurate knowledge of the collection list
- Be aware of any medical conditions of the children
- Help maintain a fun environment within the wraparound provision
