Lower school class teacher wanted for September

Job Introduction

Fancy a change?  Looking to work as part of a team but have your own space to create and innovate?  Passionate about making a positive difference for children and join a strong existing team?   We are looking for an excellent teacher who works hard and knows the difference these early years can make for a child. This post may be for you if you are confident teaching Year R, Year 1 or Year 2.

Our children and teaching team are looking for a team-mate who…

…loves working as a team but can also work on your own initiative

…believes learning should be rooted in real life experiences

…can think creatively about delivery of learning so that children are engaged and interested

…has strong previous EYFS or KS1 experience

…has high expectations of children and adults you work with (and yourself of course!)

…wants to develop professionally within an experienced staff

…cares for our children – this is the most important aspect of the job!

We have 161 children in our school with a full cohort of 20 lined up for September 2025 and it’s thriving but we never sit still!  We know the challenges of working in a small school and have created teams to work within and plan alongside so that you’re not on your own.  We have known staff cover classes and well-distributed subject leadership. Our curriculum is well established and we have a robust personal development, residential and visits programme to enrich children’s experiences.

We realise time is tight between now and the deadline but would welcome an informal chat or a show around so you can take a look for yourself or, if you’d like an application pack please email our admin team adminoffice@stockbridge.hants.sch.uk who will send you a pack or make an appointment.

We reserve the right to interview candidates at a mutually convenient time as applications arrive.  Final deadline for the post is 5pm on Friday 2nd May 2025.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY ONLINE THROUGH THE JOBS WEBSITE - CONTACT THE SCHOOL AS DETAILED ABOVE. Thanks!
