Lunchtime Playworker

Job Introduction


Hook Infant School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Playworker to support our pupils during the lunchtime period.

The successful candidate will work as part of our friendly team to ensure that lunchtime is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for all children.

The role includes:

  • Supervising pupils in the playground
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and safe, inclusive play
  • Supporting pupils’ wellbeing and social development
  • Leading games and developing positive relationships
  • Ensuring school policies and procedures are followed at all times

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with young children
  • Is calm, patient and nurturing, with clear boundaries
  • Can engage pupils in positive play and activities
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This post involves working during the school day and is term-time only.
