Job Introduction
We are looking for a warm, patient, and caring individual to join our team of midday supervisors, helping to create a safe and happy lunchtime for our children. As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will look after pupils during their lunch break, supporting their wellbeing, encouraging positive play, and ensuring they feel cared for and included. This is an important role in helping every child enjoy their time at school and return to the classroom settled and ready to learn.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a strong team player
- Be a good role model for positive behaviour
- Ensure confidentiality and give due regard to safeguarding
- Be willing to undertake training, as required
- Be able to build excellent relationships with children
- Have patience and a good sense of humour
The main duties will involve:
- Supervising pupils in the dinner hall and on the playground
- Encouraging positive play
- Promoting healthy eating
- Ensuring pupils are happy and safe.
- Assisting with associated duties, e.g. cleaning up of spillages
