Minibus Driver

The governors at Beaulieu Village Primary School wish to appoint a Minibus Driver to join our happy, dedicated and supportive team. The successful applicant will be responsible for working in partnership with the Headteacher and school office team to transport some of our pupils to and from school every day to drive the school minibus to transport staff and/or pupils as and when required to do so.

 The person we are looking for will: 

  • be a team player and a member of our community;
  • ensure high standards of cleanliness and operational effectiveness;
  • undertake routine minibus driving and additional driving during the school day if required;
  • ensure vehicle maintenance and safety checks are undertaken for the minibus and properly 

documented and recorded;

  • ideally hold a category D1 Driving Licence;
  • work in a flexible manner to meet the needs of the school;
  • have a sense of humour.

In addition to the before and after school run, there is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to work additional hours as a driver for regular class trips and fixtures.

  • Contract: Permanent, part time
  • Contracted hours: 10 hours per week 7.45am – 8.45am and 3.15pm - 4.15pm Monday – Friday Term time only
  • Salary: HCC Support Staff - Grade B1 – 3 (£24796 - £25128 pro rata - actual salary £5733 - £5887) depending on experience and qualifications
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible
