Permanent, term time only (39 weeks)
Level 2 or 3 qualification essential
Start date: 13th April 2026

We are delighted to invite applications for a Nursery Assistant to join Little Pioneers Pre-School, a brand-new nursery and pre-school opening in April 2026 at St Thomas Infant School. This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning. You will help shape the culture, environment and daily experiences of our youngest learners as we open our doors to families for the first time.
About Little Pioneers Pre-School
Little Pioneers Pre-School will provide a warm, nurturing and inspiring early years environment where children feel safe, curious and confident to explore. Working closely with St Thomas Infant School, we aim to ensure strong foundations for learning and a smooth transition into school life.
The Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will:
- Support the delivery of high-quality care and early learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Help create a stimulating, inclusive and welcoming learning environment
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Support children’s play, learning and development, both indoors and outdoors
- Assist with daily routines including care, hygiene and wellbeing
- Contribute to observations, planning and reflective practice
- Uphold safeguarding and health & safety at all times
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Is passionate about working with young children
- Is caring, patient and enthusiastic
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has good communication skills
- Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
- Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential depending on role)
