Pastoral Coach

Court Moor School is a successful, mixed 11–16 years comprehensive school with a high achieving, caring ethos and supportive staff.  The school’s tagline is ‘A great place to be, and a place to be great’ which encompasses how we aim to make the school a positive working environment but also one where hard work and achievement is an expectation.

We are seeking to recruit a Pastoral Coach to work within our established Pastoral Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working within a secondary school environment who is passionate about helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.

The successful candidate will demonstrate warm assertiveness, building positive and trusting relationships with students and parents while maintaining clear expectations and professional boundaries. They will have the confidence to support, challenge and motivate young people, enabling them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with young people in a secondary setting
  • A calm, empathetic approach to behaviour management and student support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for students, both academically and emotionally
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and the importance of promoting student welfare
  • A willingness to undertake professional development to widen knowledge, understanding and skills to enhance effectiveness in this role
