We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the end-to-end payroll and pension functions for our payroll of approximately 800 staff. Reporting to the Director of Personnel, you will ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll, manage Teachers’ Pensions and LGPS administration, and maintain full compliance with payroll, pension and HMRC legislation.
The role involves close working with Personnel, Finance, senior leaders and external stakeholders, production of statutory returns, year-end processes and support for audits and workforce reporting. Applicants should have substantial payroll experience, strong technical knowledge, exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience within education and relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
