Job/Person Summary
Our longstanding Site Assistant is retiring and we are looking for a unique individual to fill their shoes.
If you are keen to support us in providing our lovely community with a safe and clean environment in which to thrive, we would love to meet you. Our highly inclusive school is a 2-form entry Primary school of 420 students with an additional onsite preschool provision. The school also operates its own swimming pool on site, which is hired to outside users, and we also run two minibuses.
We are looking for someone who can:
- use their initiative and is able to turn their hand to a range of DIY skills both practically and creatively
- navigate a range of school policies and procedures, showing flexibility, positivity and calmness with a can-do attitude to their work
- become a fully involved member of the school team
- understand safeguarding requirements
- demonstrate good knowledge of ICT
If you have a D1 driving licence and would consider undertaking MIDAS training to drive the minibus, this would especially be of interest.
You will need to be able to prioritise your own workload, whilst communicating equally with all stakeholders effectively. This role will require you to have a Level 3 Pool Operator’s Certification or be willing to train to obtain one.
The role involves outside and lone working.
Your hours (20) are negotiable and will include a mix of shifts between 6am and 7pm and at least one Saturday a month to cover pool opening hours for which overtime is paid.
