Salary Details: Grade D £14,550 - £16,005 depending on experience
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 6-10am, 52 weeks per year
Job/Person Summary
Due to the retirement of our existing Site Manager, Hart Plain Infant School are seeking to appoint a hardworking, practical and friendly Site Manager to join our supportive team. We are a small school with a big heart aiming high to provide the very best for our children; with a safe, clean, well-maintained site playing a pivotal role.
Are you someone who likes to work as part of a school team? Do you use your initiative, are reliable and have a can-do attitude? Can you navigate relevant Health and Safety policies and turn your hand to a range of DIY skills?
Daily responsibilities include:
- Site security and safety checks
- Liaising with the conscientious cleaning team
- Taking out rubbish
- Classroom checks
- Sorting and distributing fruit and milk orders
- Manning the school gate
Other roles and responsibilities include:
- Ensuring COSHH compliance
- Fixing and maintenance
- Management of the school’s heating system
- Raising work tickets
- Overseeing contractors on site
- Maintenance and operation of fire systems and regular fire drills
- Delivery of the school’s painting and decorating as required
- Any other relevant duties
We can offer you a comprehensive handover period of two weeks, Hampshire training and ongoing CPD. Your hours of work would be 6 – 10am Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year. During the 13 weeks of school holidays working hours would be negotiable.
The ideal candidate for this full and varied role will be practical and flexible, with a great sense of humour and problem-solving skills. A good standard of Maths and English is important as are good IT skills. If you have a full UK driving licence and would consider undertaking MIDAS training, this would be especially of interest.
