Salary Type: Support Staff

Salary Details: Grade B or C dependent on experience and qualifications

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 8:45am to 3:20pm, term time only

We are seeking someone to work within our Speech and Language resource provision, who is an adaptable and supportive team member who puts children first, is willing to learn and work in a child-centred environment.  If you feel that you have the skills and would like to make a real difference to children’s experience and learning and have high expectations but can allow children to be individuals then please continue reading!

We are looking for a learning support assistant who:

  • Enjoys working with children and has a nurturing attitude and puts children’s needs first. 
  • Caring, calm and patient 
  • Able to work as part of a team, learning with and from other colleagues 
  • Enjoys working independently and with initiative 
  • able to work effectively with children to move their learning forward 
  • Highly organised and has good time management skills 
  • Flexible, proactive and resourceful 
  • Competency in literacy and numeracy 
  • Demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written 
  • Able to provide written and verbal feedback to the class teacher as required 
  • Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
