Salary Details: Grade B (C would be considered based on experience and impact evidence)
Hours of Work: 8.30am-3.30pm Term Time (39 weeks per year/ 32.5 hours a week)

Job/Person Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team, as a SEND Teaching. The post holder will be offered high levels of support and a bespoke training package to enable 1:1 and small group work in and out of the classroom. You will work under the planning and guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCo, to support and enhance the children’s experience in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD; ADHD; Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
- Deliver structured intervention provision as 1:1 or in small groups.
- Reinforce learning requirements set by the class teacher.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Promote inclusion and independence within the classroom
- Observe, assess and feedback on pupil progress to teachers and the SENCo.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to work well with others and, following training, use their initiative to attune to the needs of the children.
- Have a patient and nurturing approach.
- Have some professional experience working with children.
- Have experience working with children with SEND (desirable).
- Have experience or confidence in delivering phonics teaching to individuals or a small group.
- Have a good standard of English and Mathematics.
- Be well organised, a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour.
- Have high expectations of children's progress and attainment, understanding the need to promote independence.
