Are you an experienced and dedicated SENDCo seeking an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the continued success of two vibrant school communities? Binsted CE Primary and Andrews’ Endowed CE Primary are excited to offer a joint 0.8 FTE position (4 days per week) for an accomplished SENDCo to join our teams. 

This unique role consists of two separate 0.4 FTE contracts, providing a beneficial opportunity to share best practices and help shape inclusive learning environments across both schools.

As a non-class based SENDCo, you will play a crucial role in continuing the advancement of SEND provision and the overall leadership of both schools. 

Your Role

  • Drive Development: Lead the development of strong SEND provision across both school sites. 
  • Ethos and Relationships: Uphold each school's Christian ethos and foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and governors. 
  • Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of both settings. 
  • Data-Driven Progress: Utilise your expertise to track pupil progress using data and tailored approaches. 
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Develop strong partnerships with parents, outside agencies, and colleagues. 
  • Statutory Processes: Employ your deep understanding of the Annual Review and statutory assessment processes. 
  • Creative Support: Create customised learning packages to meet individual pupil needs creatively. 

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a SENDCo. 
  • Qualifications: QTS, a minimum of an undergraduate degree, and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO). 
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in middle or senior leadership roles. 
  • Expertise: Profound understanding of current SEN developments, theory, and provision. 
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in pupil identification, curricular planning, and progress monitoring for SEND. 
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
