School Counsellor
Grade 7 Salary £33,119 - £37,561 FTE – Actual starting salary £28,469
37 hours per week Term Time only.

We are looking for a qualified counsellor with a passion for developing the potential of young people. The role of School Counsellor supports our strong pastoral culture by providing a high-quality counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of emotional problems.
This role will require huge amounts of resilience, perseverance for the long haul and a constant drive for excellence. However, this is also a role that will be incredibly rewarding.
Specific Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the confidential counselling services to students as needed.
- To be responsible for advice and support to staff.
- To be responsible for maintaining appropriate and confidential records.
- To liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead on a frequent basis.
- To provide regular data such as numbers, age range and types of problems to the SLT.
- To have a thorough knowledge of the Mental Health provision locally and nationally.

- Have proficiency in the use of ICT. Word, Excel and SIMS knowledge will be necessary for this role.
