Glenwood is a special school for children experiencing complex needs both moderate and severe, associated with learning difficulties, including children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. The school works with pupils from years 7 to 11 (KS3 and KS4) who have a range of learning, communication and health needs, therefore a passion to work and succeed in this environment is essential.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a vacancy within our school admin team for a senior administration assistant to join our team due to staff retirement.
A flair for administration and keen attention to detail are essential to fulfil the role, along with a friendly, approachable and professional manner, as the role includes regular interaction with staff, pupils, parents/carers, HCC and other external organisations.
We would love to hear from you if you:
- enjoy varied office work in a fast-paced environment, including admin processes and financial tasks.
- have strong organisational skills, ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- use your initiative, stay calm under pressure and remain professional
It will be a customer-facing post, mainly involving reception duties and a variety of tasks, with the main areas being focussed on administrative and basic finance procedures.
At Glenwood we are a supportive team and enjoy the environment where no two days are the same. Ideally you will be an experienced administrator with some working knowledge in a school setting and of school-based systems. This is advantageous but not essential as training will be available.
We welcome and encourage interested applicants to visit. Please contact us: adminoffice@glenwood.hants.sch.uk or phone 01243 373120 to arrange an appointment and/or request an application pack which includes Role Profile and Person Specification.
