Senior Administrative and Finance Officer
37.5 hours per week, 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday, Term time only plus one week in the school holidays.

We are lucky enough to be situated on the outskirts of the beautiful New Forest and by the sea. Due to the retirement of our long-standing Business Manager, we are looking to recruit a Senior Administrative and Finance Officer, to be part of our fantastic team. We are looking for an excellent candidate, ideally with school-based experience, who can effectively manage the financial and administrative elements of school life and contribute positively to our staff team.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working in a school and as part of a team.
- Has experience of school-based systems such as Arbor and IBC, or a willingness to learn.
- Has excellent multi-tasking skills, alongside the ability to manage challenging situations calmly, positively and professionally in a busy environment.
- Is friendly and able to communicate effectively, warmly and professionally at all times.
- A good knowledge of finance and personnel.
- Is able to manage the school budget and provide reports for governing body meetings.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
- Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English).
- Is first aid qualified or prepared to become first aid trained.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the Headteacher in the preparation, management and monitoring of the school budget.
- Preparing regular financial reports for the Headteacher and governors.
- Effectively managing and maintaining day-to-day financial systems within the school.
- Responsibility for school personnel administration.
- Responsibility for the completion of all new starter/leaver paperwork and other documentation relating to staff employment.
- Administration of the schools’ health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Overseeing data protection procedures.
- Working alongside the site manager to manage the school site and building maintenance.
