About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and dependable Senior Site Manager to join our growing Federation. This is a key role in ensuring our schools provide a safe, secure and well-maintained environment where pupils can thrive. 

You will bring a hands-on approach alongside strong organisational and IT skills, enabling you to respond quickly to maintenance needs while maintaining accurate records and compliance systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the maintenance and effective use of site facilities for both school and community use
  • Monitor contractors to ensure high standards of work, cleanliness and safety
  • Manage site security, including keyholding, access arrangements, and procedural reviews
  • Act as a keyholder and Fire Safety Officer
  • Lead Health & Safety compliance, including risk assessments and COSHH management
  • Arrange contractor visits, obtain quotes, and oversee works on site
  • Maintain accurate site records in line with HCC and legislative requirements
  • Use energy management systems to produce reports and recommend improvements
  • Line manage and support site staff, including training and performance management
  • Work closely with senior leaders and governors on site development and maintenance priorities

You will be: 

  • A strong communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Organised, practical and solution-focused
  • Confident managing contractors and site operations
  • Knowledgeable in Health & Safety and compliance requirements
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff
