We pride ourselves on developing creative, critical thinkers in a highly inclusive environment, where memorable experiences are woven through our curriculum. Our school-wide ethos of respect, independence and resilience is firmly established, enabling our pupils to take responsibility for their own learning behaviours, and to be the best they can be.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join and lead our site team. We require a strong team to continue to provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for our children, staff and visitors.

The role requires a variety of skills and every day will be varied, so the role will suit someone who likes new challenges and would enjoy being part of a busy school environment.

The Role

  • Act as a principle key holder for the building and site on a daily basis
  • Ensure all health and safety and compliance requirements are met (inside and outside) and that pupils, staff and visitors are safe whilst on the school grounds
  • Leading the site team and being the lead representative for the smooth running of the site
  • Supervise and lead the training and development of a team of cleaning staff and undertake some daily cleaning duties
  • Conducting regular health and safety inspections, risk assessments and compliance checks
  • Take responsibility for the ordering and safe storage of all cleaning materials and equipment
  • Ensure the school grounds are well-maintained
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with contractors, oversee lettings and report to senior leaders and governors
  • Monitoring maintenance and cleaning budgets and ensuring value for money
  • Ensure that any breaches in health and safety are reported according to school policy
  • To be proactive and remain up to date in the school’s planned events and respond as needed
  • Support the school’s strategic plans by carrying out planned maintenance and building works as required
  • Take a lead in ensuring that there are sufficient fire marshals, and that they are competent in their role.

In return we can offer:

  • A warm, welcoming and friendly whole school family, who are committed to working together to achieve the best for every child and family
  • High quality and personalised Professional Learning
  • A real opportunity to make a difference and be valued for the significant contribution you make
