Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working, practical, and flexible Site Manager to join our team.   

Anton Junior is a warm and welcoming school, committed to laying the foundations for lifelong learning. 

The role is for a minimum 15 hours per week, ideally 7-10am, 5 days a week, there may be some flexibility on timings.  This will be a 52-week contract with holidays taken during the school holidays. 


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: - 

  • A flexible, positive, practical and efficient approach
  • An ability to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and contributing to the needs of the children and the whole school team.
  • Have good basic DIY skills including plumbing, painting and carpentry. 
  • Good communication skills

 

Main responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient running of the school.
  • Being responsible for site security including the daily opening and closing of the school, occasionally working outside normal hours for school events, including out of hours/ emergency call outs.
  • Completing maintenance tasks to a good standard.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and responsible for the management of the cleaning contractors, as there is a cleaning element to the role.
  • Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance, and redecoration.
  • Overseeing the work of external contractors, ensuring standards are maintained, with health and safety being always paramount.
  • Carrying out H&S inspections, assessments and compliance checks.
  • Fire safety, COSHH, Legionella, Risk Assessments practice experience. (training provided)
  • Able to keep records of tests and checks as required, using paper, email and online systems
