Job Introduction
We are looking for a caring, hardworking and pro-active individual to join our team due to the retirement of our current Site Manager. The post would be very suitable for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and perhaps looking for reduced hours or someone who has recently left fulltime education and is looking to start their career in site management. We can offer training and mentorship with a very experienced and knowledgeable site manager and the successful candidate would be provided with thorough training and handover. We are keen to find someone to help us care for our much-loved and well-maintained school and be a part of our friendly team and school community.
We are looking for someone who can work in partnership with the school team to:
- Manage the school site and buildings
- Take responsibility for site security
- Ensure the school is unlocked daily and (on occasion) carrying out security and safety checks. There may also be a requirement to open and close the school outside the core hours
- Undertake a range of minor repairs and redecoration within the school building and grounds
- Regularly carry out and record health and safety checks and ensure that Health and Safety COSHH legislation is kept up to date
- Manage and co-ordinate school agency cleaners
- Ensure that the school is kept to the highest standard of cleanliness
- Arrange and supervise contractors on site
- Take responsibility for stock control and ordering of repair products alongside admin officers
- Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the pupils and school
- Share our school values and ethos
- Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy; the ability to use email is preferred
- Have a high degree of personal pride in their work, ensuring the school environment is the best it can be

The post is for 52 weeks a year with annual leave to be taken during the school holidays.
