Sixth Form Learning Coach at Yateley School

Job Introduction

Yateley School is looking to appoint a dynamic and compassionate Sixth Form Learning Coach to join our inclusive and successful Sixth Form team. This new role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of over 250 post-16 students by supporting their academic progress, wellbeing, and individual needs.

Based in our dedicated Sixth Form hub, you will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form, the SENDCo, and the wider pastoral team to provide daily support to students, particularly those at risk of underachievement or with additional needs.

You will deliver one-to-one and small group interventions, help monitor attendance and engagement, and act as a key point of contact for students seeking guidance or emotional support. You’ll also contribute to the delivery of the Sixth Form programme and play a key role in maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.

We are looking for someone with experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or pastoral setting. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a calm and resilient approach, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. An understanding of the challenges faced by post-16 learners, including those with SEND, is essential.

In return, we offer a supportive team environment, a modern and well-equipped workspace, opportunities for professional development, and a school culture committed to wellbeing and personal growth.

Join us in shaping a new and impactful role within a thriving Sixth Form community.
